README-campisi-adventor.txt
===========================

What this is
------------
The body typeface of campisismarbella.es, campisisbenalmadena.es and their admin
panel. It is a renamed Latin subset of TeX Gyre Adventor (the free URW Gothic L
design maintained by the GUST e-foundry), converted to WOFF2. URW Gothic itself
is not used on the web (its AGPL licence only exempts PostScript/PDF embedding).

Licence
-------
GUST Font License 1.0 = LaTeX Project Public License 1.3c or later
(see GUST-FONT-LICENSE.txt and LPPL-1.3c.txt). The original authors and the GUST
e-foundry do not provide support for this derived version; report problems to
the maintainers of this website instead.

Changes (2026-11-03, fontTools 4.63.0)
--------------------------------------
1. Subset with pyftsubset, keeping these code points and the glyphs reachable
from them through the kept OpenType features:

     U+0020-007E, U+00A0-00FF, U+0100-017F, U+0218-021B, U+02BC, U+02C6-02C7,
     U+02D8-02DD, U+0300-030C, U+0323, U+0326-0328, U+2000-200F, U+2010-2027,
     U+202F-2030, U+2032-2033, U+2039-203A, U+2044, U+2060, U+20AC, U+2116,
     U+2122, U+2190-2199, U+2212, U+25CA, U+25CF, U+2666, U+2713, U+FEFF

   python -I -m fontTools.subset texgyreadventor-<style>.otf --unicodes=<list above>
     --layout-features="ccmp,locl,liga,kern,mark,mkmk,tnum,lnum,cpsp"
     --name-IDs='*' --notdef-outline --recalc-bounds --output-file=subset-<style>.otf

Removed: Greek, Vietnamese, Latin Extended-B (except Romanian comma-accent
letters), mathematical and other symbol blocks, small caps, stylistic sets,
old-style and fraction figures, and the FFTM table.
2. Renamed (GUST Font License clause 1): family "TeX Gyre Adventor" became
"Campisi Adventor" (name IDs 1, 4, 16 and the CFF FamilyName/FullName), the
   PostScript name "TeXGyreAdventor-<Style>" became "CampisiAdventor-<Style>"
(name ID 6 and the CFF font name); name ID 3 records the subset, name ID 5
appends "Latin subset 2026-11-03", name IDs 13/14 describe this derivation
and point to the licence. The copyright notice (name ID 0) is unchanged.
3. Converted to WOFF2:
   python -I -m fontTools.ttLib.woff2 compress campisi-adventor-<style>.otf -o campisi-adventor-<style>.woff2

Glyph outlines, metrics, kerning and the remaining features are unchanged.
Coverage was checked for Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, French, Italian, German,
Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish and Turkish (ğ ş ı İ). Russian and
Arabic text use the Jost / Noto Sans Arabic companions (see src/app/fonts.ts).
